Attention, all students. Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 9, only juniors need to report
to school due to MME testing. On Wednesday, March 10, classes will start at
11:00 A.M. for grades 9, 10 and 12. Classes will start at 10:30 A.M. on
Thursday, March 11 for grades 9, 10 and 12. Juniors, you will report to class on
Wednesday and Thursday after MME testing.
Attention, Juniors. Your MME testing assignments are posted outside the main
office, grade office and counseling office. Remember that testing begins
promptly at 7:43 A.M. tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. Be sure to bring a photo
ID and two pencils. Do not bring your cell phone. A free breakfast will be
provided for all juniors on all testing days in the cafeteria.
The Portage Northern forensic team hosted the 35th annual Menchinger Invitational
this past Saturday. Forty-one entries from Northern participated in final round
competition and Northern won seven individual first place trophies. As hosts,
Northern was not eligible for the sweepstakes trophy in the large entry division
one. Individual winners include: Hannah Sawyer, Michael Giguere, Derek Krinock.
Bryce Maurer, Nat Zegree, Aly Badalamenti, and the multiple, Spamalot, featuring
Spencer Dudd, Adam Mayer, Nathan Novaria, Charlie Olken, Rachel Robertson, Sufia
Sharief, Jake Vogds, and Amanda Willoughby.
