Voluntary Student Insurance
Portage Schools will again
make available for purchase a voluntary student
accident insurance program for the 2015-16
school year. PPS offers this voluntary program
because of trends in family health and dental
insurance. Decreasing coverage levels with
increasing deductibles and/or percentages of
co-payment are common concerns facing families

As the weather changes in Michigan, we begin to see
an increase in illness. It is important for families to use good
judgment when deciding whether or not your child to school.
Help us contain the
spread of viruses by teaching good hygiene and hand-washing, avoid
touching your face with unwashed hands, avoid close contact with sick
people, cover your coughs and sneezes, clean & disinfect surfaces and
stay home when you are sick.
