Bonjour
French club!--We
are watching the famous musical, the Umbrellas of Cherbourg (pronounced
"share-burg") after school on Wednesday in room 2033.
This is open for all levels of French and those who are interested in
French. Also, the WMU
francophone film festival is happening this week from Wednesday to Sunday at
the Little Theater on Western's campus.

Honor Society members… --There
will be a meeting today starting at 3pm in the media center.
Community Service
Award--A reminder to all
students working to earn the community service award. The deadline for
turning in hours for this year is Thursday, April 15th .
Remember, only hours turned in within 2 weeks of the completion of the
service activity are eligible to be used toward the award. If you would like
to know how many hours you have turned in to date, email or stop by Mrs.
Laurencig's room #213.
Attention all Rotary Members:--The
Living History Show is this weekend and our help is needed at a concession
stand. There are 2-hour shifts available all day Saturday and Sunday. Stop
by Mr. Rayle’s room (Waylee 22) to sign up or send him an email. You can
also check his eboard for more information.
GSA
Meeting --Will be today,
after school in Ms. Hazen's room (Waylee 5). The National Day of Silence
brings attention to anti-LGBT name-calling, bullying and harassment in
schools. Each year the event has grown, now with hundreds of thousands of
students coming together to encourage schools and classmates to address
these problems. If you wish to participate in this event, we are ordering
t-shirts for $10. T-shirt orders must be placed before we leave for spring
break. See any GSA member or Ms. Hazen to place an order. Day of Silence
this year at PCHS is April 15th.
British Club--On
behalf of the British Club, you are all cordially invited to the British
Club’s British Tea Party on Thursday, March 18th from 3:30-5:30
p.m. at the
PCHS Media Center.
Tea, scones, and other teatime treats will be served for only $3. Please
RSVP to Mrs. Moore in Rm. 2032 by tomorrow at 3 pm if you plan to attend.
Come enjoy some British treats and learn the history of British tea!

Also…Michigan State
University is hosting the Future
Spartans program at the Holiday Inn West in Kalamazoo on March, 24 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The
goal is to introduce sophomore and junior students and parents to MSU. There
will be representatives from Financial Aid, Housing and the Residential Colleges. It is a great opportunity for Portage students to learn
more about the university.
Sadie Hawkins--The
second annual Sadie Hawkins Match Bash tickets are on sale all this week for
$7. Tickets at the door for the dance this Saturday, March 20 will be $8.
