Heartland Hospice Services is in need of dedicated high school volunteers age 16 or older who are interested in becoming a trained hospice special project/office volunteer. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the medical or social service fields. If interested call Connie Carroll at 324-5705.
PCOC is always in need of dedicated volunteers. Contact them at 323-1942 to see how you can help!
We are looking for volunteers for our homework club at Amberly Elementary again this year. Volunteers are needed on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:45 - 4:45. Homework club will begin on December 1st and continue until the end of the school year. Please have any interested students email me at trenda@portageps.org or call 323-5964. Last year our homework club was a huge success
because of our high school volunteers.
It's that time of year again!!
- What - 16th Annual Greater Kalamazoo Area Holiday Food Drive
- When - Friday, December 19, 2008 & Saturday, December 20, 2008
- Where - Kalamazoo County Fairgrounds, Hazel-Gray Building
- Why - To provide a week's worth of food to 1500 area families
Nonperishable food items collected from local businesses, schools, and the South Central Food Bank will be brought to the fairgrounds on Friday, December 19. These items need to be sorted and counted. The counting, sorting, and assembling begins at 6:00 p.m.
Many volunteers are needed!
Beginning at 9:30 a.m. on
Saturday, December 20, boxes are packed. Following packing of the boxes,
deliveries are made. Many volunteers are needed to pack and/or deliver.
Deliveries will begin approximately at 10:30 a.m.
Please volunteer and bring your family and friends and feel the true spirit of the holiday season.
