PORTAGE NORTHERN TOUCHDOWN CLUB MINUTES
7-21-08 at PNHS 7 PM

Welcome and Introductions

In attendance are K. Droppers, P.Schermehorn, M Scheffert, C Commissaris, C McMullin, M McMullin, C Crosby, G Crosby, K Hasenburg, M Hasenburg, P Elliott, N Rogers, L May and C Riker.

Motion to approve the June Minutes approved by G. Crosby, seconded by C McMullin.

Treasure’s Report given by C Commissaris.

 Summer Camps- at PCEC went well, good attendance and the weather was great.

Ft. Custer- is fast approaching and all registrations need to be turned in.

Meet the Team Night- is 8-10-08 and all volunteers need to be lined up for each team table.

Brown and White- is 8-16-08 and the volunteers are being contacted by M Scheffert.

Golf Outing 2008- is next Sat. and we have openings for teams.

Gold Card Sales- P Schermerhorn is hoping to have pre-sales started at the” Meet the Team Night”.  The Gold Card Sale day is 8-23-08, with hotdogs being served after the sale at 12:00.

Patron Page- is in place we just need patrons to donate and their names will be added to the Program for all Varsity games.  These need to be turned in by August 21st, in order for the info to get o the printer on time for the first home Varsity game Sept 5th.

Banners will ready for McCamley field by 8-28-08 for FR/JV and Sept. 5th for VAR.

Scholarships for Pretty Lake and Ft. Custer-Policy has permitted us to provide scholarships to only these camps not the PCEC Camp, which is held through PPS. This is in accordance with MHSA rules.

Teams Representatives for Freshman and JV are in place, but we are still looking for Varsity Team Reps.

AD Chris Riker reports that Doug Arnold will be taking pictures at all football games and other athletics at PNHS.  His photos will be available at sharpshotphotos.com.

Bobbie Thomas will be contacted by M Scheffert in order to confirm this season’s schedule.

7 on 7 at Western went well.

Trainer Fee is due before the first games.  We have a new trainer named Andrew Lawrence.  He is a MSU Grad and will be at Ft. Custer.  The fee is $30.00 and can be paid in the Athletic Office in PNHS.

Coach Schermerhorn has asked the club to pay for Coaches Polo shirts in the amount of $390.00.  Motion to approve, P Elliott and seconded by G Crosby.
