Track and field starts officially next Monday, March 15, 2010 right after school. We will meet in the gym right at 3:00 p.m. Please bring appropriate clothes and shoes, and be ready to run. Anyone interested should sign up outside Mrs. Roach’s room. Come and be a part of the championship teams so we can repeat as conference champs.

To help celebrate “March is Reading Month” the library is suspending all book fines for the last three weeks in March. Those with overdue books please renew a.s.a.p, but no fines will be charged. Fines will start to be charged again after spring break. Enjoy your books and keep on reading!

Next week is green week, March 15-19th, we “Celebrate the Green” with a week long festival which focuses on all things green – such as green living, the green responsibility pillar, and various green characters like Kermit, the Jolly Green Giant, Gumby, as well as green foods, such as limes, peas, and books like “Green Eggs and Ham”! There will be contests, games, special activities, music, and unusual learning opportunities, all having to do with green – culminating with an after school party on Friday. So what can you do to prepare? You can locate all of your green clothing you have at home to wear all next week. We will have little prizes being given out all week in the halls to students wearing green, lots of green. So be thinking green and we’ll get back to you later in the week with more information.
