Character Counts…Students, thank you for continuing to exhibit the 6 pillars of character! We would like to acknowledge the following good deeds… Congratulations to Emily Peet who was nominated for Character Counts by Mr. Winkle for getting back into the swing of things after break. Congratulations as well to Kortney Brown who was nominated for Character Counts by Mrs. Pullo for working responsibly during class.

PTO Meeting: January 31st @ 6:30pm in the media center
5th Grade Parent Night: Wednesday, February 1st @ 6:30pm in the gym.

Drop-In Registration Dates: Monday, February 6th at West Middle School Cafeteria from 6:30 pm -8:00 pm.
AS ALWAYS…
Things to know about the snow!
There is no snowball throwing on school grounds. Please avoid playing on snow mounds and sliding across the ice while at school. This includes before and after school hours.
Adult Visitors:
All adults, including parents, please assist us in keeping our school safe and orderly by signing in at the front office and getting a visitor pass sticker before walking down the hallways before school starts, as well as during school hours, as a safety precaution for our students.
When a child becomes ill at school…5 easy steps:
1. Student tells the teacher they are not feeling well.
2. Teacher sends student to health room (counseling office).
3. Student signs in with Mrs. Leblong; child calls home using school phone.
4. Mrs.Leblong confirms & documents (the pick up of the child) with the parent/guardian.
5. Student may get their belongings and wait for parent in the front lobby.

February is here, so be sure to celebrate Black History Month

Character Counts…Students, thank you for continuing to exhibit the 6 pillars of character! We would like to acknowledge the following good deeds… Congratulations to Grace Metheany who was nominated for Character Counts by Sydney Floyd for staying behind after the bell rang and helped her to open her lock when it wouldnt open. Congratulations as well to Caitlyn Waslh who was nominated for Character Counts by Mrs. Goetz for showing kindness to a classmate.

7th Grade Girl's Basketball at Millwood at 3:30, bus leaves at 2:30
Character Counts…Students, thank you for continuing to
exhibit the 6 pillars of character! We would like to acknowledge the following
good deeds… Congratulations to both Audrey Haines and Emmy Braasch who were
nominated by Mrs. Franks for taking the time to get a student who was absent
caught up in science class. Congratulations as well to Tanvi Khurmi who was
nominated for Character Counts by Mr. Winkle for being ready to learn when the
bell rings.

Ski Club... Students need to report to CMS at 4:00 p.m. and will return to school at approximately 9:00 p.m.
Character Counts…Students, thank you for continuing to exhibit the 6 pillars of character! We would like to acknowledge the following good deeds... Congratulations to Bryan O'Connor who was nominated by Mrs. Alburtus for helping her sort yearbook receipts. Congratulations as well to Riley Ross who was nominated for Character Counts by Mrs. Schroder for helping classmates with computer glitches. Lastly, congratulations to Bayley Onstott who was nominated by Mrs. Franklin for volunteering to help in the library.
Lady Colts put up a tough, scappy battle against Millwood last night. Both teams hustled and never quit playing. Maddie hit a game winning 3 pointer in overtime for the team. All around great ball playing from everyone. Amazine defense is what won the game for the A team.
Book Groups... 7th and 8th grade book groups will meet today at lunch in the library. If you have signed up for book group but did not recieve your bookmark in homeroom today, you may still come to bookgroup.
