Monday 2/6/12

Next Friday, February 10^th is our annual Valentine’s Day Party.  The cost is $1.00 and will run from 3:00 until 4:30.  Please remain eligible.  Also have your rides lined up in advance.

Attention all 8^th Grade Students applying to KAMSC:
There is an informational meeting at KAMSC on how to fill out application forms on Wednesday February 8 at 6:30 p.m.  As a reminder, please turn  your applications into KAMSC by February 20.

Attention all 8^th Grade Students: A follow up High School Scheduling session will take place on Tuesday February 7, 1^st hour in the Little Theatre. If you are an 8^th grade student and you have any questions or want any clarification regarding course requests, please plan to attend this session. This is only for students who have additional questions or would like additional help.

Current 6^th and 7^th Grade Students: Plan to meet with the Counselors in the Little Theatre on Tuesday February 14 to discuss scheduling for next year. 6^th Graders will meet during 1^st hour and 7^th graders will meet during 2^nd hour

Student Leaders will be honoring African-Americans contribution to our American culture by celebrating Black History Month continuing today through the next three weeks.  Each week students will listen to clues during morning announcements.  If you can guess the correct answer, come to the office and fill out an entry form, and have a chance to win a weekly prize of $25.00.  Good luck to everyone.

This week’s clue is: This famous African American was the first African-American woman elected to Congress in 1968.  She later made a bid to run for the office of the President of the United States.
