PTSO Sponsored Events

Volunteers are always needed for various events at PNMS, and the PTSO provides an opportunity for you to be involved in those activities. If you have any questions, or would like to volunteer, please contact Co-Presidents Maggie Bullard-Marshall or Carrie Johnson at 324-0997

We have many areas in which we need assistance. Following is a partial list of activities and descriptions of events and/or team leader responsibilities that the PTSO sponsors:

Clothing Sales Inventory clothing, advertise sales, take orders.

Magazine Sales Assist with processing order envelopes, compiling orders and collecting money

Fundraising Publicize, organize, and process corporate fundraisers, such as Box Tops, Campbell’s soup labels, etc.

After-School Parties Four after-school parties during the school year. Activities include swimming, basketball, dancing, etc. Responsibilities include: Recruit volunteers.

Dawg Run One-mine run event for the kids, usually in the fall. Responsibilities include: Coordinate volunteers.

Teacher Appreciation

Brunch Brunch held on Records Day in January for the teachers. Responsibilities include: Schedule volunteers, coordinate meal and food donations from parents.

Effort Breakfast Breakfast held for students who have shown extra effort during the school year. Responsibilities include: Schedule volunteers, plan menu, organize food donations.

6 th Grade Track &

Field Day All-day event in June for 6 th graders to compete in various track and field events.

8 th Grade Honors

Night Honors program in May for all 8 th graders. Responsibilities include: Schedule volunteers, set up/clean up and serve cookies after program.

8 th Grade Farewell Final dance of the year for 8 th graders, which is usually a “big deal” for all involved. Responsibilities include: Schedule volunteers, coordinate decorations, food, door prize donations, and set up/clean up.

Yearbook Morning in late May/early June to put student names in yearbooks for ease of distribution.

Dodge Ball

Tournament After-school event following winter sports season.
