West Middle School is located in Portage, Michigan and serves about 690 students in grades six, seven and eight. West also serves as the Hearing Impaired middle school for Kalamazoo county.

New Student Orientation will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009. This event is for all sixth grade students and any student new to West this fall. This is one day earlier than the original date!

June 12 - June 19 Open 8:00 - 4:00/Full Office Staff
June 20 - June 30 No Office Staff. Call 323-5855 for appointment or message.
July 1 - July 31 Closed. Call 323-5800 for assistance
August 1 - August 27 No Office Staff. Call 323-5855 for appointment or message.
August 28 - Sept. 3 Open 8:00 - 4:00/Full Office Staff
Sept. 4 - Sept. 7 Closed for Extended Labor Day Weekend

Help Student Leaders Get Cash For Your Trash! Student Leaders would like you to keep your eye out for the following recyclable items….. Empty inkjet cartridges, empty laser cartridges, used cell phones, palm pilots and laptops. West Middle School can earn cash for the used items you bring in. Just bring in your recyclables for donation to the media center or front office. This collection will be ongoing - we will collect items all year round. Help us get cash for your trash!
