Pay To Participate Survey

Activity Fee / Pay To Participate Survey Portage Public Schools is in the process of considering implementation of a participation fee for middle school and high school students. This fee would impact students that participate in extra-curricular activities such as athletics, school plays, debate, forensics, some clubs, and intramural activities. Who Needs Physicals?

All students need to have athletic physicals to participate in athletics here at West Middle School.  Tennis Club and Golf Club are the only two that do not require a physical.  Sports that do need physicals are:

• Football

• Basketball

• Volleyball

• Cross Country

• Wrestling

• Swimming & Diving

• Track

Sports Admission Prices for 2009-10

Admission prices for West Middle School Wrestling, Volleyball, Boys' and Girls' Basketball are $3.00 for Adults and $1.00 for Middle and High School Kids. Admission is free to kids in elementary school and younger. 

Admission to West Football, Track, and Cross Country is free to everyone.

Swimming and Diving is $3.00 for Adults and $1.00 for students.

Please note that All Kalamazoo Sporting events are $3.00 for Adults and $1.00 for all kids 5 and older.
