CAREER EXPLORATIONS:  Mrs. Gray is now taking applications for Career Explorations for next school year.  If you are interested in working with a teacher at West or Moorsbridge, please stop in the Counseling Office and pick up an application.  Applications are due back to the Counseling Office by Wednesday, May 23^rd.

YEARBOOK SALES:  There are less than 100 yearbooks left to sell and over 300 students who have not yet purchased a book.  Bring $26 to the front lobby tomorrow morning to make sure you have a yearbook on May 29^th when they are passed out.

GOLF CLUB:  Our golf outing will be Monday, May 21^st from 3:00-5:30 at the Kalamazoo Country Club.  We will be bussed after school on Monday, but you’ll need to arrange for a ride home.  We will be passing out permission slips during our Friday Golf Club meeting.  Questions, see Mr. Zonts.

CROSS COUNTRY:  Attention all 6^th and 7^th grade students who are interested in participating in Cross Country this fall. There will be an informational meeting held on Wed., May 23^rd during XTS in room 703 (Wood shop).  If you have any questions or can’t make the meeting, please see Mr. Murray or Mr. Tundevold.

WMS FOOTBALL:  Attention all 6^th and 7^th graders who are interested in joining   the WMS football team this fall.  There will be an informational meeting held on Wed., May 23^rd during XTS in room 606-608.  If you are interested in hearing more about the upcoming season, please attend this important meeting.  Any questions or can’t make the meeting, please see Mr. Zonts

PNHS GOLF:  All girls interested in playing golf for the Huskies, the girls golf season starts August 8^th.  The Varsity team has their first match August 15^th.  Please contact Coach Eustice @ reustice@portageps.org or 377-9390 or Coach Culp @ coachgulp@hotmail.com or 806-6380.  Physicals will be offered on June 4^th at Northern starting at 6:00 p.m. for $30.  You must have a physical to participate!

PNHS GIRLS BASKETBALL:  Attention 8^th grade girls – if you are attending Northern and are interested in playing girls basketball next year, the coaching staff will be at 8^th grade lunch on Tuesday, May 29^th.  Coach Paffhausen and Coach Messing will be there to pass out information for the summer workouts.   

SUMMER PROGRAMS:  WMU’s honors college is offering a variety of summer programs for current middle schoolers.  The classes include Japanese Language & Culture, Printmaking, Clay Whistles, Chess, Web Page Design, Digital Storytelling, and Flash Fiction.  Please stop in the Counseling Office to pick up a flyer if you are interested in these programs.
