CAREER EXPLORATIONS:  Mrs. Gray is now taking applications for Career Explorations for next school year.  If you are interested in working with a teacher at West or Moorsbridge, please stop in the Counseling Office and pick up an application.  Applications are due back to the Counseling Office by Wednesday, May 23^rd.

SPRING  CONCERT:  The 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grade choirs will be performing their spring concert on Tuesday, May 29^th at Northern High school’s auditorium at 7:00 p.m.  We hope you can join us for a great night of song.  Come and support your friends!  Admission is free.

YEARBOOK SALES:  Friday is the last day to buy yearbooks so you’ll have one on Tuesday morning.  Yearbooks will be passed out in first hour next Tuesday and you want to make sure you have one as a special keepsake.

CROSS COUNTRY:  Attention all 6^th and 7^th grade students who are interested in participating in Cross Country this fall. There will be an informational meeting held on Wed., May 23^rd during XTS in room 703 (Wood shop).  If you have any questions or can’t make the meeting, please see Mr. Murray or Mr. Tundevold.

WMS FOOTBALL:  Attention all 6^th and 7^th graders who are interested in joining   the WMS football team this fall.  There will be an informational meeting held on Wed., May 23^rd during XTS in room 606-608.  If you are interested in hearing more about the upcoming season, please attend this important meeting.  Any questions or can’t make the meeting, please see Mr. Zonts

PNHS GOLF:  All girls interested in playing golf for the Huskies, the girls golf season starts August 8^th.  The Varsity team has their first match August 15^th.  Please contact Coach Eustice @ reustice@portageps.org or 377-9390 or Coach Culp @ coachgulp@hotmail.com or 806-6380.  Physicals will be offered on June 4^th at Northern starting at 6:00 p.m. for $30.  You must have a physical to participate!

PCHS CROSS COUNTRY:  Attention all 8^th grade students interested in cross country and will be attending PCHS in the fall.  Anyone interested, please sign up in the front office.

PNHS GIRLS BASKETBALL:  Attention 8^th grade girls – if you are attending Northern and are interested in playing girls basketball next year, the coaching staff will be at 8^th grade lunch on Tuesday, May 29^th.  Coach Paffhausen and Coach Messing will be there to pass out information for the summer workouts.

SUMMER PROGRAMS:  WMU’s honors college is offering a variety of summer programs for current middle schoolers.  The classes include Japanese Language & Culture, Printmaking, Clay Whistles, Chess, Web Page Design, Digital Storytelling, and Flash Fiction.  Please stop in the Counseling Office to pick up a flyer if you are interested in these programs.
