HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO: No birthdays to celebrate today!

ALL SCHOOL PARTY: Please join Student Leaders this Friday for our first all school party. Admission will be $2 per person. Many fun activities are planned. Come make a friendship bracelet for middle school students in Africa, show off your talent playing volleyball or win at bingo. Get involved in these and many other activities at the party.
Swimming at the party- Today is the last day to turn in your swim card for Friday’s party. Please be sure your swim card is turned in to the front office by 3:00 today. You must turn in your swim card in order to be allowed to swim at the school party.
MEDIA CENTER: Just a reminder – any student with an overdue book or a fine will not be allowed to go to the party on Friday.
AFTER SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY FOR 8TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL: Thursday at the 8th grade volleyball game, Mrs. Holzwarth will have her yearbook camera ready to take pictures of students who “show the spirit of West.” After school get your “game faces” on and support the volleyball team by dressing up and cheering for the girls. Remember, don’t wear any spirit items to school. Change after school and get ready to rumble for the yearbook!
ATHLETIC SWEATSHIRTS: Have you seen those great Portage West Athletic sweatshirts worn by some of our students? Some have last names or nicknames of the back of them. Some have the name of a sport or sports that the student plays. Anyone can get one even if they don’t play sports. Here is your chance to order one. Mr. Helsom will be selling the sweatshirts from now, through conferences, with the sale ending Fri., Nov. 14th.
Nov. 14th is the last day an order can be turned in. Order forms are available in the office. Not sure what size? Try one on in the office, sizes S,M,L,XL will be available to try on. Turn in order forms in the basket on the counter in the office. Questions, see Mr. Helsom.
FLU SHOTS: Parents! Students! Teachers! Be sure to get your Flu Shots at West Middle School on Thursday, October 30 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Information sheets available in the front office.
