Updated Senior Portrait Requirements

Hats NOW Allowed for Class of 2024 Senior Portraits:

We at the Roundup Yearbook Staff recently made a change to our senior portrait policy that we want to share with you. Our policy previously stated that seniors were not allowed to submit portraits of themselves wearing hats. After careful review and consideration, we have decided to change our policy going forward and to allow the Class of 2024 seniors to submit a senior portrait with a hat on if they so choose. However, we are making no changes to our no props and no hand gestures policy. 

If you are interested in re-submitting a senior portrait of yourself wearing a hat, please see the information below.

Requirements for submissions with hats:

  • Hat/headwear cannot cover eyes or face; in other words, we must see your face clearly

  • No promotion of drugs, alcohol, profanity, or violence

Due to this new policy, the deadline to resubmit senior portraits with a hat (if you so choose) will be December 18, 2023. After this date, new photo submissions will not be accepted. If you do choose to resubmit, please email yearbook advisor Ann Alburtus at aalburtus@portageps.org to inform her of your decision so the Roundup Yearbook Staff can make sure to use the correct photo. This will be the final opportunity to submit senior portraits for the 2024 yearbook. Go to http://www.hjeshare.com and use code 3604 to upload your new portrait.

How to Order a 2024 PC Roundup Yearbook

Ordering a 2024 Roundup yearbook and a Class of 2024 Senior Book online is easy! Go to www.yearbookordercenter.com and use school code 3604. 

Our main yearbook is a 232-page full-color publication with a 24-page spring supplement included. The price is $65 if ordered by October 3. The price then increases to $75 for orders placed October 4 – January 1. On January 2, the price increases to $80 until the sale ends in the spring (usually in early March).

The Class of 2024 Senior Book is a separate 24-page softcover supplemental yearbook available for $12. This book for Seniors can be purchased on the same website as the main yearbook. This book will feature Class of 2024 seniors as well as moments from the spring that we are unable to include in the main book — from prom and our Ride Out senior awards ceremony, to the Senior Breakfast and Graduation. 

2024 Yearbook Senior Portrait Information

December 1 – Senior portrait submission for the yearbook is due.

Senior Portrait Requirements:

  • Minimum size: 640×800 pixels or 2” x 3” (proof size), vertical format, in color 

  • Digital file: .jpg or .jpeg, 300 dpi minimum

  • File name: LastName-FirstName.jpg (please make sure to follow this format – we are not always able to identity all students in photos)

  • BACKGROUND: Seniors can choose ANY background or style for the yearbook.  Please be cautious when choosing outdoor photos.  You don’t want to appear really small or large, next to someone who has a shoulder/headshot.

  • No hats or props of any kind

  • No hand gestures

How to submit your photo

Your senior portrait must be submitted electronically, either by the photographer or by the senior/family. Go to www.hjeshare.com. Use our school code 3604. Select “Upload Your Portrait” and proceed through the steps. 

Parents: Design and Order a Yearbook Senior Memory Ad by Dec. 22.

A Senior Memory Ad is a wonderful way to celebrate your Class of 2024 graduate. It’s easy for you to design and order your ad. You can do it on your phone or computer! All ads must be purchased and designed by December 22. Just go to www.yearbookordercenter.com, use school code 3604, and click on “Start Your Ad.” Prices for senior memory ads are as follows:

Full-page color ad – $250

Half-page color ad – $180

Quarter-page color ad – $125

Eighth-page color ad – $75
