Communication Expectations

We are inspired to be a community grounded in fostering strengths, growth, and lifelong learning. Every student. Every future.

Portage Public Schools communicates with staff, families and the community using a variety of methods.

From snow days, social media and emergency notifications, we strive to provide timely and accurate communication to students, staff and families. Please review the Communications Expectations by browsing below.

PPS App

On a new app and website, students and their families can read the latest news, locate staff contact info, review upcoming events, and find important documents. Families can receive information on the app and website in their language of choice by using the Translate menu.

The Portage Public Schools app is available to download free from the Apple App Store or the Google Play store.

Critical Communications

In order to communicate critical information to families and staff, PPS must have up-to-date contact information. Please be sure to update your phone number in Skyward and download the Portage Public Schools app to stay connected.

Portage Public Schools encourages our students to stay safe and report anything that threatens student or school safety.
Visit OK2SAY to report.
