On your ballot Tuesday, Nov. 4, you'll find a proposal from PPS for a bond to Finish the Job. The bond proposal is a ZERO-increase to the existing millage rate but would give us the funds to rebuild and renovate our remaining outdated elementary schools so every student can thrive in 21st Century learning environments!
Here is what the new bond would cover:
Build a new Amberly Elementary School and a new Angling Road Elementary School –
the last two elementary buildings we need to replace.
Renovate Moorsbridge Elementary School.
Address Community High School and Early Childhood Education facility needs.
Continue important updates to educational and safety technology.
Replace buses that have outlived their mechanical lives.
Portage has the benefit of presenting this bond proposal with no projected increase in the millage rate from the current level.
