We had a petting zoo "domesticated dogs and cats" with the Mixed Age Summer Camp today! The children did a wonderful job with practicing commands, throwing the ball, taking turns with petting and talking about all things pet related. It was a fun experience by all!

All friends who are attending the YMCA Summer Camp (Ages 3-entering Kindergarten) which is located here at the Curious Kids building, their program starts at 7:00 am as well.

On Wednesday night, 5/28, we participated in Graduation (End of the Year celebration) for our 3 Year Old Preschool Classrooms. Next year, many of these current students will be among the first students to take part in GSRP/PreK for All Programming with Portage Public Schools! The students celebrated with their caps and gowns, and sang their hearts out for their families and friends upon receiving their certificates. It was a wonderful night enjoyed by all!
As the school year comes to an end, this week is Spirit Week. Today is "Dress to Impress" day in 3 Year Old Preschool. Our students understood the assignment and they look very impressive!
Flowers are the current study for our littlest learners in our Mixed-Age Classroom. They are learning to recognize flowers as well as learning color matching. Their art activities help to develop their fine and gross motor skills. Their dramatic play area is set up as a flower shop.
On Thursday night, 5/29, we participated in Graduation (End of the Year celebration) for our 4 Year Old Preschool Classrooms to promote many of our students who are transitioning to Young Fives or Kindergarten! The students proudly wore their caps and gowns, and sang their hearts out for their families and friends upon receiving their graduation certificates. It was a wonderful night enjoyed by all!

In April, we celebrated NAEYC's The Week of the Young Child. During that week all our students in the building made feathers. It was a collaborative art experience that everyone can enjoy. It is a great backdrop for parents/caregivers to capture a picture to help document their child's preschool journey!
Our preschool programs are entering a new Creative Curriculum Study in each of their respective classes and we are excited to share our learning! We are also enjoying our outdoor movement time!
