On such a dreary day, here is something to brighten it! Our Safe Harbor and Bright Beacon classes all made an art project to contribute to this wonderful Bulletin Board. Enjoy!

On St. Patrick's Day the parents and caregivers of the students in Room 100 (3s) received an interesting email from Miss Leanne regarding a very mischievous leprechaun! We felt it should be shared with everyone!
Good morning families!
**moving forward, everything in this email is completely pretend, no children or leprechauns were harmed in the making of this crime scene**
We had a Leprechaun sneak into our classroom while we were outside for recess this morning! He made a HUGE mess in the classroom and the kiddos agreed that it may be best to call the police and file a report for all of the destruction. In hindsight, we did try to catch him, which probably scared him a bit so we will not be pressing charges.
Officer Hambright from the Portage Police Department came by to collect some evidence and take some fingerprints from the scene! After we finished cleaning up the room, he handed out some cool sunglasses and sticker badges for the kiddos in the room.
We also found some clues that the Leprechaun left behind that led to a pot of CHOCOLATE GOLD COINS! Everyone has a few in their cubby to take home (if they last that long)!

Our 3 & 4 Year old Preschool Open House for the 2025/26 school year will be on Thursday, March 27, 2025. See the flier for more details. We look forward to seeing you there!

Safe Harbor Menu for March 17-28, 2025

Enrollment for 3 year old preschool starts on Monday, March 17, 2025 for the 2025-26 school year. See the flier for more information.

Bright Beacon, room 114, had a cozy reading day on Wednesday too! They welcomed their little stuffed buddies from home and read stories to them during arrival time.
During large group they woke up their brains with a Cat in the Hat movement activity and during story time they read Cat in the Hat.
In their small groups they reviewed what they know about patterns and made fun patterned Truffula trees from the story The Lorax by Dr. Seuss. Then they counted the cubes they used to make the trees and made some comparisons between the different lengths of trees they all made.
It was a fun filled day of Dr. Seuss learning!

March is Reading Month!
On Wednesday students in room 112 (Bright Beacon) brought in flashlights and stuffies so they could have some cozy reading time here at school. We do love seeing our students reading books!

Room 100 (3s) would like to introduce you to Liam the Robot!
This week's theme is "Building Study". They are learning about different types of building materials, how buildings are made and what they are used for. They also get to do some building themselves.
Miss Jo suggested they build a robot and the students agreed. There were some side projects going on as well. One student even explored the inside of a box!
This was a great activity for the students to be creative and work together as a team!
(Side note: Duck Tape that has been sitting around for five years works just as well as Duct Tape that is brand new!)
