We are thrilled to announce that this year, our walk-a-thon fundraiser is taking on a vibrant twist - a less-mess Color Run! Students will have the chance to embrace the joy of teamwork and physical activity while being showered in a spectrum of colors. To make this event even more exciting, we've partnered with generous sponsors who have provided a fantastic array of prizes that will be raffled off after the event.
A few important things:
1. Every student is a winner-Every student, regardles s of donation will receive a raffle ticket for the prizes.
2. Class Prize- The top earning class will have a chance to "color Mr. Crouch," have a radio shoutout or a special STEM event.
3. For every $10 raised by a student, they will get an extra ticket into the raffle.
4. Donation goal=$60 per student
5. Funding will go to support- A new Therapy Dog and to continue to enhance our educational experiences such as field trips, activities, and resources!
Grown Ups are invited to come a few minutes before their child's scheduled time to help "color the run."

WELCOME BACK!
Yesterday, the Portage Central High School Marching Band helped us kick off the new school year. Staff also heard from two current PPS students on what they need to succeed and from Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist and PPS Alumnus Lindsay Tarpley.

At last night's meeting, the Board of Education approved a partial 2023-24 School Year Calendar. The complete calendar is contingent on ongoing contract negotiations with the Portage Education Association.
