School is out for the summer!! Congratulations! You made it to the end of the 2025/2026 school year!
Here at Portage Northern, we have already begun the planning for the 2026/2027 school year!
From now until August, here are some things that are important to know while you are on summer break!
Work Permits are handled in the Main Office (during business hours) or at the PPS Administration Building.
Summer Office Hours for PNHS from June 8-August 17
Our Main Office will be open: Monday-Thursday, open 9am-11:30am, 1-3pm, closed Fridays.
Jul2-Jul6: CLOSED
Regular hours resume August 18: Monday-Friday, open 7:15am-3:30pm.
Due to scheduling changes, hours are subject to change, so please feel free to call ahead 323-5461.
Summer Reading/Assignments (if you are signed up for the following classes ONLY). These assignments are DUE on the 1st FULL DAY of class in August.

Shop Portage Northern High School Summer Reading Book Lists for Bookbug/This is a Bookstore pick-up and/or delivery to you.
NEW THIS YEAR: Our PN Parent Book Club will focus on The Digital Delusion* by Jared Cooney Horvath. The book examines the impact of technology on learning, attention, and child development, drawing on research from neuroscience and education. Discussions will center on the book's findings and their implications for students and families. PNHS Grade Level Information Center (GLIC). Click the GLIC routinely throughout the summer and school year to make sure that you are up to date on the important information for students, families and future huskies! The GLIC is linked about but also has a button on the homepage of our website.

Final Forms Registration is here. Paper Copies of physicals WILL NOT be accepted at the buildings. They MUST be uploaded into Final Forms. Physicals MUST be completed after April 15, 2026.
Portage Northern Athletic Department will be hosting a Sports Physical Night on Monday, August 3, from 5:30–7:00 PM at Portage Northern High School. Please enter through Door 1. Physicals will be $35 and are first come first served.
Please remember that many of the PNHS Staff are off for the summer. If you send them an email, expect there to be longer than normal wait times to get a response.
Please make sure that school ids remain accessible for the return to school in August.
