Our Daily Announcements to our students
First-period classes were held to respond to a medical situation this morning
Right before the passing period in between first and second period today, one of our students with a known condition required medical assistance in the hallway.
Teachers were notified of the situation, and our student body waited patiently in their first-hour classes while our medical emergency support team provided care to our student for about 30 minutes.
Too, we are grateful that some parents reached out to check in on us. Some worried that we were in a lock-up situation. We explained that we were not and instead were just in a holding period, so we could support our student during this time.
There simply are no words to express how grateful we are for how thoughtfully and quickly our students and colleagues continue to work together to support, whenever we have a student in need. Too, the professionals who helped our student are always incredible; we have worked with them for decades, and time after time they respond with speed and skill. I am reminded time and again how grateful I am to serve our community.
So grateful for everyone involved and everything they did,
Eric Alburtus
