Wildcats past and present say goodbye to Woodland El

Wildcats from years past and present day gathered Monday, June 2, to say goodbye to Woodland Elementary School.

The 57-year-old building will be demolished this summer to make way for a new elementary school. Before the building comes down, former students, retired teachers and longtime community supporters walked the halls, visited old classrooms, caught up with classmates and browsed through dozens of old photographs and yearbooks.

The new Woodland Elementary School will be open in 2027. During construction, students will attend in the old Haverhill Elementary School building. To follow along with construction, visit portagebond.com.
