🐝💛 The Final Family Time of the Year! 💛🐝 Recently, Haverhill Elementary wrapped up their last Family Time of the school year — a special tradition where students from all grades come together in small, mixed-age “families” to build connections, grow community, and support one another. For the final activity of the school year and in the original building, students created special keepsakes for our 5th graders, which was a heartfelt way to send them off with memories of the Hive and the relationships they’ve built here. It was a meaningful celebration of friendship, leadership, and belonging. Once a Hornet, always a Hornet. 💛🖤

What kind of car can I afford? How about a phone plan? Will I rent a studio apartment or one-bedroom? How does my credit score impact these decisions? 💲 These are the questions that our high schoolers at Portage Northern had to ask themselves during a simulation from Arbor Financial Credit Union aimed at teaching them about personal finance. 💲 The students chose a job and were assigned a credit score and some debt. They had to make choices within that budget for everything from housing and food to clothing, transportation and entertainment. What a great life lesson!
