6th graders from all three middle schools presented biographical projects to seniors living at StoryPoint Kalamazoo and Friendship Village this week as part of their project-based-learning curriculum.
Earlier in the semester, the students interviewed the seniors about their lives before visiting again Tuesday to present their projects, which included posters and books and a yearbook that told the life stories of the residents.
👏👏 What a great collaboration between our students and the community! 👏👏

January is National School Board Appreciation Month! At last night's meeting, two new members were sworn in to join the team of community members who help lead our District. Thank you to the Board for your service!

💕💕 The recipients of the Heart of Education Award for the month of December were Ashley Bowen, Engagement Specialist at Amberly Elementary, and Katelin Lopez from Central Middle School. 💕💕
The award was created to recognize the amazing PPS staff that go above and beyond to support the mental health and wellness of our students. Thank you both for the extraordinary work you do with our students!!

🎶🎵 The choir collaboration between our middle and high school students was a success! The Tenor Bass Choir Clinic was a chance for students from across the District to come together to rehearse and learn best practices for making music. Great job!! 🎶🎵
