The 1st place winner of a large art competition in the Kalamazoo area is one of our own PPS students!
PinPin Eiamtamai won 1st place in this year's Kalamazoo Valley Community College High School Art Competition. PinPin is a foreign exchange student from Thailand attending Portage Northern High School.

Winter Walking is returning in January! During the coldest months of the year, the indoor tracks at Portage Central High and Portage Northern High are opened to the community for Winter Walking.
6 p.m. - 8 p.m. Jan. 7, 2025 through March 6, 2025:
(no Walking on Thursday, Jan. 16, for half day)
- Tuesdays at Portage Central Stable
- Thursdays at Portage Northern Dog House

Due to an interruption in phone and internet service to Angling Road and 12th St. Elementaries, PPS is cancelling classes for these two buildings tomorrow December 09, 2024 in the interest of school safety. We anticipate repairs to be completed tomorrow and that school will resume on Tuesday.

PNHS students are talented! The annual vendor fair was full of students' creations including artwork, jewelry, crochet and more.

Due to the winter storm warning, all Portage Public Schools events, activities and meetings are cancelled for this evening, December 4, 2024 beginning at 4:30pm. Curious Kids programs will also close at 4:30pm. Primetime after school care will continue with normal operating hours.
