Moorsbridge was lucky to have Dr. Jumane in the building to present to the 4th and 5th-grade students yesterday to share the history and practices of Kwanzaa. We even had help from a few student volunteers!
Thank you for bringing the energy and knowledge to our students Dr. J.

We LOVE Moorsbridge Spirit Week!
Happy Hat Day!

Moorsbridge Families!!! We are very low on donations for the 4th grade drive! The Textured Hair Care Drive ends in a week, please consider a donation for the Portage Community Center! Thanks in advance for your generosity! Our fourth-grade students at MBE are in the middle of their unit in Social Studies: Civic-Mindedness. As a culminating activity for this, fourth-graders have been working together on a project to help those in need in our Portage community. We are teaming up with the Portage Community Center to provide what is currently needed most: textured hair care products! Please send any items you wish to help our 4th graders to donate ASAP! While we value your generosity, for storage purposes, please only send in items on the list at this time. Thank you! Did you know every classroom has a daily Morning Meeting?
This is a dedicated time at the start of the day where the whole class gathers together to greet each other, share personal updates, participate in a group activity, and sometimes review a "morning message" from the teacher. This daily practice creates a sense of community and sets the tone for the day by practicing social and emotional skills through conversation and interaction.
