Our Portage Central and Portage Northern high school students are partnering this week to collect diapers for those in need. Donations can be dropped off this week at either high school or at the rivalry basketball games Thursday and Friday.
Great job, Mustangs and Huskies!

The anatomy lesson at Portage Community High School this week involved students dissecting cow hearts. Ms. Adriance led the class through dissecting and labeling parts of the hearts in her science classroom.
Did you do anything like this in high school?

Students at Portage Community High School are Greek champions! The students learned about Greece and Rome by playing their own Greek Olympic Games Wednesday, including standing jump, discus throw and hoop rolling.
Students also constructed a Lego Roman Colosseum that was 1,756 pieces, and had a taste test of Roman vs. Greek cheesecakes.

Reminder, there is no school Wednesday through Friday for Thanksgiving. Enjoy the break!

Congratulations to Clint Wagner, principal at Portage Community High School! He was presented with the Kresa Innovative Programming Award by Stephanie Brown at the Out of the Box Symposium on November 3.
He was recognized for his efforts to effect change at CoHS, with an eye to increase student engagement, credits earned and graduation rates. Great job, Clint!

Don't forget, tomorrow is a half day for students! Staff will attend professional development in the afternoon.
Release times are:

Secondary: 10:55 a.m.

While students are away, staff are busy learning today! From school psychologists to teachers and secretaries, staff across the District are learning new skills to better serve our students at Professional Development.

Enjoy your day off students! There is no school Friday for students. Staff will be attending professional development, but students can shut off those alarm clocks.
