Our band and orchestra departments have been quite busy! Last weekend, our 7th grade band, 8th grade band & 8th grade orchestra students did an amazing job at Festival! All three groups earned a first division (superior) rating. The bands earned straight one's from all three concert judges as well as the sight reading judge! Yesterday our William Short Jazz Ensemble performed BIG BAND BASH at Portage Central High School. Our jazz ensemble, composed of students that practice at least one day after school a week, performed a series of selections for the event. Way to go Pioneer musicians!
