Today our 8th scholars analyzed the novel "Watership Down" in a Socratic Discussion in their English/Language Arts class. These Pioneers have volunteered to be apart of an extension opportunity during XTS.

This is a great opportunity for our Pioneers and families "to discover the many free educational opportunities available to them." The state-of-art facility that just opened will be available to learn about all the programs offered as well as tour this location.

Congratulations to our MathCounts team for earning 1st Place at today's Southwestern MI Chapter Competition!

In addition, we had 3 Pioneers in the top 5 for the Countdown Round: Kylar B., Jasmine Z., and Shaun K. Way to go Pioneers!

Shaun K. won the Countdown Round for the third year in a row! He has finished as the top student overall at the regional competition for his 6th, 7th, and 8th grade years. What a historic run Shaun!

Great job mathletes and coaches!

Next up: the State Championship Competition on March 14th! Keep going Pioneers!

Our Science Olympiad team showed up and showed out at the West Ottawa Invitational Saturday. Our Pioneers earned a 2nd Place Team Trophy and lots of high event placements! Way to represent Science Olympians! #ScienceOlympiad #AllIn #TheWestWay

Our wrestling team represented both Friday and Saturday, with many of the wrestlers having their first match, due to the snow days. Way to represent for your team, yourselves, and The West Way! #Wrestling #AllIn #TheWestWay
