Physical education is important for all of our students -- from playtime in kindergarten to heavy weightlifting and advanced sports for high school athletes. Students learn fundamental motor skills and character values and also enjoy time socializing and team building with peers. Happy National PE Week!

Congratulations to Prakash Shekhar from Portage Central for being selected as one of only 13 Michigan students selected as semifinalists for the 2024 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program! They are representative of the great work that our state’s students are doing with support from their families and outstanding educators. I wish them luck as the U.S. Department of Education chooses this year’s scholars.”
