TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO SIGN UP FOR DISCOUNT SKI PASSES! While Portage Northern has partnered with Bittersweet Ski Resort for our student discount ski passes in the past, we chose to join other area schools in pausing that relationship this year because Bittersweet changed their student discount pass policies.
Schools are now required to choose a single day to meet all at once, and the student discount card is only good on that night. The rest of the time, students pay regular price, which is higher than last year (visit Bittersweet's website for information).
While this might work for elementary or middle school groups, we find that our high schoolers often need the flexibility of what day of the week to use the pass and also the flexibility to use it with their friends on the weekends and over holiday breaks.
Timber Ridge gives us that flexibility on top of lower pricing, brand new snow making equipment, and an all-new terrain park. While it is a departure from last year, we believe that it is in the best interest of our students and how they will actually use their discount passes. Email Dr. Thorpe at athorpe@portageps.org with additional questions.
