Winston's Shoe Fundraiser Drive Thru Drop Off was a HUGE success! We've counted most of the shoe donations with still more to go. We have bagged 800 pairs of shoes thus far and estimate that our grand total from the event will be over 1,000 pairs of shoes! Our 6th graders are having Project Based Learning experiences in their content literacy courses each Quarter. Yesterday, the Social Studies Literacy class had a "soft opening" of their bead companies. They've been exploring the world of entrepreneurship, creating their own businesses, conducting market research and competitive analysis, gaining an understanding of key business vocabulary and concepts, and more! These Pioneers are creating a realistic financial plan by calculating costs of materials, labor, and distribution and determining what they must charge to make a profit in their business! Yesterday was a great experience for all! Can't wait to see how they apply what they've learned to their final products at the end of the quarter! #ProjectBasedLearning #SocialStudies #Literacy #AllIn #TheWestWay

Our 7th & 8th Grade Choir, 8th Grade Band & 8th Grade Orchestra put on an amazing concert last evening! The collage concert is always a treat to witness. Mr. Kozian and Mrs. Sturdy have prepared these musicians with limited practice together for this performance, in addition to each of their group performances! And they always do a fantastic job!
