Lisa Byington is a play-by-play announcer, studio host, and feature producer/reporter. She has broadcast games for Fox Sports, FS1, Big Ten Network, CBS, Turner Sports, Pac-12 Network, ESPN, and the SEC Network. In 2021, Byington became the first female full-time play-by-play voice for a major men's professional sports team when she became the full time play-by-play announcer of the Milwaukee Bucks. Byington also handles play-by-play work for the WNBA’s Chicago Sky. Lisa Byington is also an alum of Portage West! She sent a wonderful, thoughtful message for our 50th Anniversary Celebration last week that we are sharing with our student body today. Greetings Pioneers! Thank you to all the students and staff (former and current), families, and community members that attended our Portage West Middle School 50 Year Anniversary Celebration! It was truly an evening to remember! We will be sharing pictures from the event over several posts. In our first series of pictures, here is Mrs. Leanne (Wells) Larson, original staff member in 1973, with 3 of her former students; sisters Alicia (Baker) Segula and Allison (Baker) Hammond along with Jaime McNulty. Allison and Jamie were apart of the first class to attend all 3 years at West Junior High, 1973 - 1976. Alicia attended between 1975 - 1978. Alicia and Allison were on Mrs. Larson's cheerleading squads. Allison and Jamie were in Mrs. Larson's 7th grade science class in 1973!
