Our Holiday Concert Series begins this Monday! Be sure to come see our band, choir, and orchestra students put on a display of their work over the year so far and music for the holiday season. Members of the WMS 7th/8th grade bands and the 8th grade orchestra performed at Barnes & Noble on Friday, December 1st. Many students performed in a small ensemble. Last Friday, December 1st, Mr. Chappa and Mrs. Howe took a group of 8th grade Pioneers to the Western Michigan University Innovation Expo. These scholars presented their products, models, and prototypes to a panel of judges and the community along with other K-12 and WMU students. Ryan C. and Adrian D. won 3rd place at the event! Our Portage Central and Portage Northern high school students are partnering this week to collect diapers for those in need. Donations can be dropped off this week at either high school or at the rivalry basketball games Thursday and Friday. Great job, Mustangs and Huskies!
