Kudos to our 8th grade Pioneers who participated in Socratic Circles for Unit 2 in their ELA class with Ms. Ha and Ms. Brown. The students researched & found a wide range of examples and connections independently on what power does to character/behavior. Yesterday, Author Katherine Cowley came in and spoke to Mrs. Hively's and Mrs. Howe's ELA classes. She connected her craft/medium of writing and tied it into Misty Copeland's medium of dance. 6th grade students read "Life in Motion: An Unlikely Ballerina" by Misty Copeland this year. Yesterday, our Bridge Builders group welcomed guest speaker Phil Hamilton, a lawyer in the Portage area.
